This playful approach to programming is designed to start at a really basic level and dive deeper into the concepts of how software is made.

Personal Biography 

Rudi's name is Rodolfo Cossovich. He started as a Design Engineer in Argentina and he currently teaches at NYU Shanghai "Intro to robotics" and "Animatronics". He co-founded an Open Source Robot Building System (http://multiplo.org) and an educational company that provides services in the best international schools in Shanghai (http://plobot.com) 

Description

Based on the experience of teaching people of different ages what programming is, we will run an experiment to make the whole transition from the simplest programming to the most advanced examples.

5km, 14:30 - 16:00 – Absolute Beginners: We will start by playing games designed by Google for first-time programmers. Kids as young as 6 years old can start with these joyful activities.

21km, 16:30 - 18:00 – Beginners: Later we will dig into how to create algorithms that can draw and animate objects. This gets complicated quite quickly and ages 9 and up are recommended.

42km, 18:00 + - Intermediate: We will have a session of more advanced programming. We will first use a graphical tool to kick off the concepts. Then we will switch to edit code and program our unique HTML and JavaScript page.

Materials

Each participant must bring a computer with Chrome browser (https://www.baidu.com/s?wd=chrome ). Advanced users should bring also installed a text editor ( https://atom.io/) and P5 JS https://p5js.org/download/)

工作坊介绍

根据多年教授不同年龄群的经验，我们会首先教大家从简单的编程进阶到最先进的例子。

5千米：14:30 - 16:00 － 完全初学者：我们会让第一次接触编程的初学者玩谷歌设计的游戏，培养编程逻辑以及原理展示。六岁的小孩子都可以从这里开启编程之旅。

21千米：16:30 - 18:00 － 初学者： 之后我们会进一步了解如何制造算法，并用该算法编画出动物。该部分工作坊很容易变得复杂，要求孩子年龄段在9岁以上。

42千米：18:00 + － 进阶者：进一步加强编程。首先用图形编程工具引入概念。然后我们会编辑程序，并用HTML和JavaScript编程。
